The best fresh water fishing here can be found at the Amadorio Dam along with Guadalests dam. They hold barbel, black bass, rainbow trout along with carp
The Costa Brava
Here again fresh water fishing is very good. The river Ter and river Onyar offer carp, barbel, tench and eel.
Lake Banyols offers good pike and carp
Many people sea fish off the rocks, but you will get better results by hiring a boat and going further out
Sea Fishing
With sea fishing being a popular hobby along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coat lines, you can rent every thing you need for a day out from the marinas and most ports have day trip organisers who will sort out all your needs at reasonable prices
July to September you will find swordfish off the cost of Malaga, Almeria and Granada
